Oh god, it's finished.
*whew* Okay, this took a long time. Like many hours. Probably around eight...sooooo yeah.
This was loads of fun to do, I feel like I'm learning something, or at least trying something new every time I do another CG. This time I did some serious fold shading, on the guy's tunic, and I worked with leather, metal, and texturing, notice the little gashes and cuts in the metal and leather. THat was all fun. Also, this' got two characters in it...more than my usual one per page.
And a serious background! Sand dunes, since Marcella is some sort of merchant character, in the desert. It's the first time I've done sand dunes, so that was fun too.
I also tried to make the shadows deeper, so I chose deeper colors and had more blending between them, not sure if I pulled that off as much as I could've but it's fine I guess...yeah. I'm just so glad it's done. :3 Something got screwed with my layers when I was finalizing things, and I wanted to fix the background because I orignally painted the horizon too low, so that made me waste 30 minutes tossing the layers back and forth between OC and PS...whee.

Overall, I'm quite pleased with this one, I learned some stuff. That's my goal. But don't let that deter you! Critique it to death.

I'd also like to give ~SkeletalWings some credit for the characters, since she inspired me to create them by giving me their names, without her, I probably wouldn't be posting anything. Thanks Red! :hug:

O_O Bjshdiuhdgsunhhsdbhsanmb! That’s… amazing! It’s GORGEOUS! My goodness… I would have never expected the image to come out as polished as this! Complete with a fitting background! I love the colors you chose for both the characters and the background, they’re all so soft and neutral, even the great contrast with how seemingly bright Marcella’s eyes are and how sandy her hair is. I think one of my favorite parts in the image is Bruno’s armour, how you tried to make the leather worn-out especially. A little piece of crit? Although I love the folds you put in, they’re beautifully shaded – love the saturated tones – I think you may have over done how many there are supposed to be, dunno looks a bit too crowded… but still so great! :+fav: You must tell me, what did you do in oC and what did you do in PS?
BTW… get my name off there! Credit to me is not needed nor necessary.

I normall don't reply to comments that start with illiterate ramblings, but for you, I'll make an exception. :3
Ooh! I love the crit. Yeah...definitely. I guess the only excuse I have is that clothes are pleated like, or drawn up at the sides of the waist, so that would create more folds, but no you're right, not that many, thanks for that. :hug:
OC was all of the coloring and linearting, I then painted the background in OC, but then realized that the horizon line should be at the eye level of the characters for it to look right, or Marcella's since she's right there, so I took it into PS, blew it up by 50% and then cropped it to fit the original image, pasted it in the background over the old bad background, cleaned it up and added more sharp lines and details.
...I'll take your name out of the copyright, but the names are yours, and I refuse to not give credit where it's due.
